It's Raining It's Pouring

For weeks now Anna has been begging me for a raincoat. I have no idea where the other toddler mommies are shopping (It seems that every other child in the class has one) but we've looked high, low and everywhere in between (re: Target, Walmart, Kohls, Toys R Us, etc.) and to no avail. The worst part of our search is always when we are told the store doesn't carry them and I have to take a panicking toddler out of the store while she is insisting we get a raincoat before we leave.

I literally couldn't stand the idea of having to drag her out of one more store when it dawned on me: order one online, you dum-dum. Why, oh why did I not think of this before? The entire process took 20 minutes on Saturday while Anna was napping and the promised raincoat came today (The ONE sunny day this week). Anna's little jaw dropped when she saw her new raincoat and although some kids might be bummed that the sun is shining and there's not a cloud in sight, my little girl is currently happily sitting next to me water-proofed from head to toe.

It's supposed to pour tomorrow :-)

Lost

I don't know if anyone else was a huge sucker and stayed up to watch Lost last night, but I did. Clarify that, LAURA and I did. (If I'm going down I'm taking her with me). I couldn't believe it didn't end until 11:30... I was a little bitter about that. I was scared not to watch it though because I thought everyone at work would have seen it and I'd have to write SPOILER ALERT across my forehead to get people not to tell me the ending.

Apparently we're the only idiots who missed out on sleep. Everyone else (except us) has DVR.

I've officially become my parents.

Townley Mommy Day

My Mother's Day was awesome. Complete with my daughter waking me up by yelling "Happy Birthday Mommy!!!" over and over. Rob corrected her and then for the rest of the day she said "Happy Mommy Day!" And told anyone we might pass on the street "that's my mommy!"

We went to the park with the P's, where the dad's gave Sarah and I the best present ever... they took the kids on a walk to the playground while Sarah and I relaxed on a picnic blanket

Rob hits the big 3-0

Rob's actual birthday is April 28th, but this being his 30th birthday, I decided to do a little something extra this year. We had a surprise birthday dinner for him at the boat house he and Mike are members of. The planning process was difficult, but thanks to the help of some wonderful friends, it all came together and the end result was absolutely amazing.
